Did you know one reusable wrap can replace more than 1500 pieces of disposable clingfilm in its lifetime? As conscious consumers, we also want to reduce our plastic AND food waste, so start your zero waste journey in your kitchen with our vegan wax food wraps.
These wraps are a great reusable alternative to using disposable clingfilm, and are completely vegan, soy and palm oil free, compostable and plastic free. The waxes are even sourced in the UK to reduce airmiles.
They’re really easy to use. Wait until your food has completely cooled, then simply use the warmth of your hand to bend the wrap around your bowl or plate. The slight tackiness of the surface means they stick tight, making a water repellent seal and keeping your leftovers from exposure to the air, meaning they stay fresher for longer!
Caring for your wraps is easy. Try and keep them away from hot food, microwaves and ovens if you want them to last. Simply wash them under cold to luke warm water with a little washing up liquid to keep them clean and hygienic.
How do these vegan wax food wraps compare with beeswax wraps?
Plant waxes have a similar water resistance and tacky feeling to beeswax, making them a perfect replacement. The only difference is their slight shine on the fabric. We felt bees were under enough pressure right now, without us burdening them with our food waste too! Vegans can be reassured that these carry the Viva Vegan stamp, meaning no animal derived ingredients are used.
